Brian Filter

Brian Filter was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. He graduated from the State University of New York, University at Albany, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, in 1989. Brian was then admitted to study law at Syracuse University and received his Juris Doctorate degree from that institution in 1993. Brian is a practicing attorney with over 20 years of experience. He is currently a Deputy District Attorney in Douglas County, Nevada. Prior to that he worked for the Washington County Attorney’s Office in St. George, Utah, as a prosecutor from 1995 through 2014.

Brian is a husband and father; he and his wife Linda have been married for over 20 years; his daughter Erika, is the pride of his life. He enjoys sports, being a fan of the Syracuse Orange and New York Yankees. Although a knee injury has hampered his running in recent years, one of his greatest accomplishments was finishing the New York City Marathon.

Baptized and raised in Catholicism, Brian studied Lutheranism after meeting his wife, a lifelong Lutheran, and developed a deep and fulfilling faith life. Brian became a member of the LCMS Church nearly 15 years ago. Brian previously served as an Elder at Trinity Lutheran Church, in St. George, Utah and at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Carson City, Nevada.

Jeff Davey

Jeff was born in Yuba City, California. He was baptized a week after he was born at First Lutheran Church in Yuba City, CA. Jeff attended First Lutheran School from first to sixth grade. He was confirmed at First Lutheran during 8th grade while attending Brittan Elementary School in Sutter, CA. Jeff met his wife, Janelle, in grammar school. They dated through high school and through their college years as well. Jeff attended the University of California, Berkeley, as well as California State University, Chico, where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Computer Science in 1985, and an M.S. degree in Computer Science in 1992.

Jeff married Janelle in January 1985. They have two girls, Bethany and Leah. With Jeff’s career as a Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Davey family has lived in Minden, NV, Atlanta GA, and in the Milwaukee, WI areas. They attended Trinity Lutheran in Gardnerville, Nv where Jeff was an Elder. They attended Rivercliff Lutheran church in Sandy Springs, GA where Jeff was the Vice President of the Church Council. They also attended Peace Lutheran Church in Sussex, WI where Jeff served as an Elder. The Davey family moved back to Minden, NV when Jeff was transferred in his role at GE.
 
Jeff is currently the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for GE’s Digital Solutions business, a $5B global business. Jeff and Janelle currently live in Minden, Nevada. They enjoy spending time with family, house boating, water skiing, drag racing and working on home improvement projects.

Edward (Butch) Gansberg

Edward Gansberg married Rachel in 1982 and have 4 great children together. He was born and raised in Gardnerville, NV (1957); Baptized and Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church-Gardnerville; now lives in Carson City and has been a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church since 1981. He has served on several Boards and Committees including Church President, Vice President, Board of Trustees, School Board, and Building Committee. Edward graduated from Douglas High School in 1975 and then continued onto graduate from Arizona Institute of Drafting and Design Engineering, Glendale, AZ in 1976. He currently works for Dinter Engineering Company in Reno as an Assistant Electrical Department Manager. His hobbies include spending time with family; playing percussion in Capital City Community Band since 1979; basketball several days a week; singing with daughter(s) in Church; Church choir; hunting; Giants baseball, and 49’er football.
